Stanly County Employee Health Clinic

Purpose

To provide on-site Physician Extender services to all county staff and their dependents who are currently covered by the county’s insurance plan.

Availability

Services are provided by appointment only Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.  There is no charge to be seen.  You must bring your current insurance card with you on all visits.

Eligibility

All county staff and their dependents who are covered by the county’s insurance plan.

Additional Information

This clinic does NOT take the place of your private health care provider.  This clinic does NOT offer chronic disease management (ex: asthma, diabetes, heart disease COPD, etc.), suturing, allergy shots, eye foreign body removal, breathing treatments or contraceptives.

This clinic is only designed to initiate prescriptions for an acute illness or condition.  If someone wants to stay on the medication for an extended period of time, he/she will need to follow up with his/her primary care provider.  Additionally, refills are not authorized on medications not ordered through the Employee Health Clinic.  Those, too, would need to come from the prescribing doctor.

Medical services provided will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Colds
  • Sore throat/Strep
  • Flu
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Earache
  • Upset stomach
  • Acute bronchitis
  • Pink eye
  • Ear wax removal
  • Minor skin irritations/Rashes
  • Sprains
  • Minor abrasions/Bruises
  • Minor burns
  • Insect bites/Stings
  • Suture removal
  • Wound checks
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Sunburn
  • Mononucleosis (Mono)
  • Adult immunizations
  • Some lab work, especially yearly well visit lab work.
